Destiny, Friend or Foe

Life's strange in that it gives
And then it takes away
And what remains is then destroyed
By Time and its friend Decay

What was, is gone...what's left, must fade
It is the law of Fate
Exceptions to this are never found
It's the price we all must pay

But hold your head up, don't you frown
Don't think that all is lost
'Cuz just as the snow destroys the rose
So the sun destroys the frost

So put a smile on your face
And accept life for what it is
Learn to be proud of who you are
And don't fret over what you've missed

Don't live in dreams, but dream just the same

Climb a mountain and stay on top
